Is TalkTalk going to go bust?

TalkTalk’s affiliate network Awin, announced on Tuesday 15th April 2025 that they had taken the decision to close the TalkTalk account. While no reason was given we can speculate that this is likely due to a massive outstanding balance that is unlikely to be paid. This means that TalkTalk are going to disappear from comparison sites and cash back sites from today (16th April 2025)

It’s well know that TalkTalk have had financial problems for a long time as a result of huge losses, a shrinking customer base and growing debt.

While affiliate sales do make up a large percentage of TalkTalk’s overall sales, this could just be a tactical “break” from having to pay millions of pounds worth of commissions every year.

If you’re with talkTalk now and they do go bust, it’s likely you will be passed on to another ISP. Maybe now is a good time to switch! Check out what deals are available on our comparison tables
